Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi, Chairman of Taiba Educational Group and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Merritt University, Thebes Academy participated in

Cairo International Forum for University Theater, through the play Antara, which was shown at the Hanager Theater in the Egyptian Opera House, in the presence of Professor Sherif Hamdan, Secretary-General of Thebes Academy, and a large presence of academy students and those interested in university theatre. The Taibah students participating in the show raised the flag of Palestine in confirmation of their solidarity with our people in Palestine
Ms. Suhair Al-Basha, Director of the Youth Welfare Department at Taibah Academy, affirmed solidarity with our people in Palestine, as well as the academy’s keenness to participate in all events and activities, so that these activities go hand in hand with study in order to develop the student’s personality.
  For his part, director Tamer Abbas, the director of the show, stated that the play, in which male and female students from the academy are acting, participated in this international forum, and the play previously won first place in the Ministry of Higher Education competition.
He added that Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi is always interested in supporting art and the talented and developing their skills.
It is worth noting that the Cairo International Forum for University Theater is headed by the founder of the forum, director Amr Kabil, and its supreme committee is headed by Dr. Hossam Badrawy, and its membership includes writer Dr. Amal Afifi, artist Tariq El-Desouki, and writer Fatima Naout. The forum is organizing its fifth session from October 21 to 27 of this year.
